Take-home Whitening Kits
For patients that want to whiten their teeth in the comfort of their own home, take-home kits are an excellent option. Take-home kits consist of custom-fit mouthguards that you’ll wear while you whiten your teeth. We’ll also provide you with whitening gel—depending on how sensitive your teeth are and how much time you have to whiten them, we’ll help you pick a concentration that’s either higher or lower in bleach.
A higher concentration gel will whiten your teeth in a shorter amount of time, where a low concentration gel will require more time on your teeth.
Take-home kits are also a great option for patients who want to maintain their in-chair results for months to come.
Our practice is currently offering a special promotion: Brighten your pearly whites at home for just $299!
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I whiten my teeth if I have crowns or veneers?
Crowns or veneers will not respond to teeth whitening gel. You can, however, whiten your natural teeth and “bring them up” to the shade of your crowns or veneers so that everything matches well.
Does in-chair whitening hurt?
In-chair whitening may cause some tooth-sensitivity, but it will subside in the hours following your treatment. Most patients find it extremely tolerable.
Are there other options besides a take-home kit or in-chair treatment to whiten my teeth?
We’re proud to offer take-home teeth whitening pens, which consists of a brush loaded with gel that you can easily “paint” on to your teeth. This is the most affordable option for patients wanting to whiten their teeth.
How long do I have to whiten my teeth at home?
This depends on the strength of the gel you selected for your at-home whitening sessions. A lower concentration gel will require you to wear your whitening trays for longer—perhaps up to two hours. A higher concentration gel can be worn for as little as 30 minutes. A higher concentration gel may cause more sensitivity than a lower concentration gel. Regardless, when used properly, both gels will obtain the same results in different periods of time.
Am I a candidate for teeth whitening?
You may be a candidate for teeth whitening if you want to achieve a brighter smile and are experiencing yellow or brown teeth stains.
